These batons could be used then.Worshiping with Childrenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12023055938126631743noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4995851195771634116.post-63917070280734652272014-05-29T14:38:45.551-04:002014-05-29T14:38:45.551-04:00We are using 1 1/4 diameter PVC pipe. I'll roll up your picture of Jesus with the exaggerated eyes, etc., and insert it into each baton. The children can "discover" the picture and hear the story of the Ascension AND be reminded of our joyful duty to be Jesus' voice, hands, etc. They'll each take home a baton as a reminder that Jesus is a "pass it on" kind of leader.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06979218871878501067noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4995851195771634116.post-34200985649668212802014-05-29T07:51:24.009-04:002014-05-29T07:51:24.009-04:00Now there's an interesting idea! Now there's an interesting idea!Worshiping with Childrenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12023055938126631743noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4995851195771634116.post-7693101167066194552014-05-29T02:13:34.866-04:002014-05-29T02:13:34.866-04:00Another idea is to use a short lenght of reticulat...Another idea is to use a short lenght of reticulation pipe as a "baton". The children can then write a short prayer about asking Jesus to help them be his desciple in the wold. This can be rolled up an placed inside the baton.Aperntly this was the original way batons were used in the ancient world!
