At this point it is too late for many new Advent projects – but it is a great time to collect ideas for future Advents.  To that collection add the paraments in these pictures.  These beautiful hangings are the work of the children and youth of one congregation.  Each young person made one or two of the stars using precut stencils and tamping in gold, silver, and pearly paint they mixed themselves with stencil brushes.  Adult quilters stitched all the squares together.  The result is a truly beautiful piece of art that is the visual center of the Advent sanctuary every year.
