At this point it is too late
for many new Advent projects – but it is a great time to collect ideas for
future Advents. To that collection add
the paraments in these pictures. These
beautiful hangings are the work of the children and youth of one congregation. Each young person made one or two of the
stars using precut stencils and tamping in gold, silver, and pearly paint they
mixed themselves with stencil brushes.
Adult quilters stitched all the squares together. The result is a truly beautiful piece of art
that is the visual center of the Advent sanctuary every year.
